Afghanistan secured a 2-1 victory in the ODI series against Bangladesh by winning the third match by five wickets yesterday.
In the match held in Sharjah, Bangladesh batted first and scored 244 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Mohammad Mahmudullah top-scored with 98 runs, while Mehidy Hasan contributed 66 runs.
Afghanistan’s bowling attack was led by Asmatullah Omarzai, who claimed 4 wickets.
Chasing the target, Afghanistan reached 246 runs in 48.2 overs with five wickets down, sealing the victory.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the standout performer, scoring his eighth ODI century with 101 runs. Asmatullah Omarzai also impressed with an unbeaten 70 runs.
