Users may access general sports news and certain live streams without requiring an account or subscription.
1.2 Exclusive Content
Access to premium articles, behind-the-scenes coverage, and select live streams is restricted to users with an active paid subscription.
1.3 Restrictions
Users are strictly prohibited from recording, distributing, modifying, reproducing, or broadcasting any content provided by Sporty.lk without obtaining prior written authorization.
2. Membership and Match Passes
2.1 Subscription Plans and Match Passes
Sporty.lk offers both monthly and annual subscription plans. Additionally, users can purchase a ‘Match Pass’ to access specific live sports events, a series of matches, or Video-On-Demand (VOD) content. Detailed pricing, benefits, and terms of each plan are available on the Membership page of our website.
2.2 Billing and Payment
- Payments are securely processed through trusted third-party payment service providers.
- By subscribing, you expressly authorize recurring charges to your designated payment method in accordance with your chosen subscription plan.
- Failure to process payment may result in immediate suspension or termination of access to exclusive content.
2.3 Subscription and Match Pass Cancellation
- Subscribers may cancel their membership at any time through their account settings. Match Passes, however, are non-cancellable and non-refundable once purchased.
- Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and no prorated refunds will be provided for unused portions of the subscription period.
3. Refund Policy
All digital content, subscription services, and Match Pass purchases offered by Sporty.lk are provided on an “as is” basis and are generally non-refundable, except under the specific circumstances outlined in this policy. By purchasing a subscription, Match Pass, or any other digital product, users acknowledge and accept these terms, including the limited conditions under which refunds may be granted.
3.1 Match Pass Refunds
Match Pass purchases are generally non-refundable. However, refunds may be granted in exceptional cases, including:
- The event was canceled or rescheduled, and the user is unable to access it.
- A technical failure on Sporty.lk’s platform prevented access to the purchased content despite payment confirmation.
Refund requests for Match Passes must be submitted within twenty-four (24) hours of the transaction.
3.2 Subscription Refunds
Refunds for subscriptions are granted only in exceptional cases, including:
- The content is proven to be materially defective or unavailable.
- The user was charged multiple times for the same subscription due to a billing error.
- The subscription was purchased by mistake, and the user has not accessed any exclusive content.
- A technical failure on Sporty.lk’s platform prevented access to the subscription benefits despite payment confirmation.
Refund requests must be submitted within twenty-four (24) hours of the transaction.
- A refund request is submitted within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase.
- The user has not accessed any subscription-locked content.
- The purchase was made in error due to a technical malfunction.
- The content is proven to be materially defective or unavailable.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method at Sporty.lk’s sole discretion after a review of the request.
3.3 Educational Course Refunds
Refunds for courses and educational content are subject to separate conditions:
- Digital Courses: Requests must be submitted within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase. Refunds will only be granted if the course materials have not been accessed. If course content has been accessed, partially completed, or downloaded, no refund will be issued.
- Physical Courses: Refund requests must be submitted at least forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled course date. No refunds will be issued for requests made after this deadline.
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method at Sporty.lk’s sole discretion after a review of the request.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Responsibilities
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activities conducted under their account.
- Any unauthorized access or suspected security breach must be reported to Sporty.lk immediately.
4.2 Account Termination
Sporty.lk reserves the right to suspend or terminate any user account at its discretion, with or without notice, in the event of:
- Violation of these Terms of Use.
- Engaging in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities.
- Any actions that compromise the security or integrity of the platform.
5. Live Streams
5.1 Access
- Certain live streams are available free of charge, while others require an active paid subscription.
- Live streaming services may be subject to technical limitations, and Sporty.lk does not guarantee uninterrupted access or specific stream quality.
5.2 Restrictions
- Unauthorized recording, distribution, rebroadcasting, or reproduction of live streams is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
6. Limitation of Liability
Sporty.lk and its affiliates shall not be held liable for:
- Any interruptions, errors, delays, or technical issues affecting live streams or other content.
- Losses arising from unauthorized account access or data breaches.
- Any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or availability of the content provided on the platform.
- Any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages resulting from the use of the platform, except as otherwise required by law.
7. Intellectual Property
- All content, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, videos, and software, provided by Sporty.lk is protected by intellectual property laws.
- Users shall not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without prior written consent from Sporty.lk.
8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
9. Amendments to Terms of Use
Sporty.lk reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
