Sri Lanka produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Indonesia by 75 runs in their Women’s T20 Asia Cup clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, Sri Lanka posted 124/7 in their 20 overs, with Nilakshika Silva top-scoring with a well-made 50 runs.
Indonesia struggled badly in the chase and were bowled out for just 49 runs in 18.3 overs, handing Sri Lanka a comprehensive victory.
The standout performer was Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu, who delivered a sensational spell of 7 wickets for just 5 runs in 3.3 overs.
Her remarkable seven-wicket haul also included a hat-trick, as Sri Lanka’s bowling attack completely dismantled the Indonesian batting line-up.
With this commanding 75-run victory, Sri Lanka continue their strong campaign in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup.
