Thailand’s Puripol Boonson has set a new Asian record in the men’s 200m at the 2026 Asian Games, clocking an impressive 19.88 seconds to win the gold medal.
Boonson’s victory also saw him complete a 100m and 200m sprint double at this year’s Games, having already claimed gold in the men’s 100m.
China’s Yuan Huaiwen won the silver medal, while Japan’s Soshi Mizukubo took the bronze.
