The Australia Under-19 women’s cricket team touched down in Sri Lanka yesterday to take part in a youth series against the home side. The tournament is set to begin on September 20 at the Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
The series will feature five T20 matches followed by a one-day game. The T20 leg will run from September 20 to 28, all hosted in Dambulla. The contest will conclude with a single one-day match on September 30, also at the same venue.
This tour offers a valuable opportunity for both Sri Lanka’s and Australia’s young cricketers to test their skills on the international stage, as future stars gear up for competitive action in Dambulla.
