The 13th ICC Women’s ODI World Cup begins today (30) in India, with matches also scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka. The tournament runs until November 2 and will feature eight nations battling for the title.
In the group stage, each team will play against all other seven opponents. The top four teams in the standings will qualify for the semi-finals, where the 1st-ranked side will face the 4th, and the 2nd will meet the 3rd.
The tournament consists of 31 matches, including 11 matches hosted in Sri Lanka. All of Pakistan’s fixtures will be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, where Sri Lanka will also contest four of their group-stage matches, including the high-profile clash against Pakistan.
The tournament opener sees India take on Sri Lanka today at 3:00 PM in Guwahati, marking the start of what promises to be an exciting month of women’s cricket.
