Australia secured the 2025 Ashes series with a commanding 82-run victory over England in the third Test, taking an unassailable 3–0 lead in the five-match series with two matches still to be played.
Batting first, Australia posted 371 runs in their first innings. Alex Carey led the charge with a superb 106, while Usman Khawaja contributed a solid 82. For England, Jofra Archer was the standout bowler, claiming five wickets.
England replied with 286 runs in their first innings. Ben Stokes top-scored with 83, and Jofra Archer added 51. Australia’s bowling attack was led by Pat Cummins and Scott Boland, who picked up three wickets each.
Starting their second innings with an 85-run lead, Australia piled on the pressure by scoring 349 all out. Travis Head played a magnificent knock of 170, while Alex Carey continued his fine form with 72. England bowlers Josh Tongue (4 wickets) and Brydon Carse (3 wickets) offered resistance.
