Australia Women’s Captain Alyssa Healy to Retire from International Cricket

Australian women’s cricket captain Alyssa Healy has announced her decision to retire from international cricket, bringing an illustrious career to a close.

According to the official ICC website, Healy is set to bid farewell to international cricket after the upcoming series against India, ending a remarkable 16-year career at the highest level.

The 35-year-old wicketkeeper-batter has been one of Australia’s most influential players across all formats. In One Day Internationals, she has represented Australia in 123 matches, scoring 3,563 runs, including 7 centuries and 18 half-centuries.

In T20 Internationals, Healy has played 162 matches, amassing 3,054 runs with one century and 17 half-centuries, showcasing her consistency and power at the top of the order.

She has also featured in 10 Test matches for Australia, contributing to the team’s success in the longest format of the game.

Alyssa Healy’s retirement marks the end of an era in Australian women’s cricket, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, excellence, and match-winning performances.
