The decisive final One Day International between Sri Lanka and England will be played today at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The three-match ODI series is currently level at 1–1, making today’s encounter a must-win clash for both sides.
Sri Lanka claimed a 19-run victory in the opening match, while England bounced back to win the second ODI and level the series.
Sri Lanka are expected to make two changes to their lineup for the series decider. Kamindu Mendis is likely to replace Pawan Rathnayake, while Wanindu Hasaranga is set to come in for Pramod Madushan.
Following the second match, the England team expressed dissatisfaction over what they described as slow pitches prepared by Sri Lanka for the series. However, Sri Lankan captain Charith Asalanka rejected the criticism, pointing out that both teams scored over 400 plus runs in the previous game.
The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM Sri Lanka time.
