The upcoming cricket series between the Sri Lanka national cricket team and the Afghanistan national cricket team, which was scheduled to take place in Sharjah, has been postponed, according to an announcement by the Afghanistan Cricket Board.
The decision was taken due to the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, which have affected travel and security arrangements in the region.
The series was originally set to begin on the 13th of this month and was scheduled to include three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
However, the Afghanistan Cricket Board stated that plans are underway to conduct the series later this year, likely during the latter part of 2026.
Further details regarding the revised schedule and arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
