Sri Lankan sprinter Dineth Induwara delivered a career-best performance in the men’s 100m heats at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, clocking a new personal best in Glasgow, Scotland.
The men’s 100m heats, featuring 11 qualifying races, were held on Monday at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Competing in the third heat, Dineth Induwara produced an impressive run to finish third in 10.33 seconds, setting a new personal best in the process.
Meanwhile, fellow Sri Lankan Chamod Yodasinghe also finished third in the eighth heat, crossing the line in 10.45 seconds.
Although both athletes produced strong performances, Dineth’s personal-best time was one of the highlights for Sri Lanka on the track as the nation’s athletes continue their campaign in Glasgow.
