The second Test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh has paused for lunch on Day 1, with Bangladesh scoring 71 runs for the loss of two wickets at the SSC Ground in Colombo.
After winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat first but faced early pressure from the Sri Lankan bowling attack. Opener Anamul Haque was dismissed for 0, while Mominul Haque contributed 21 runs before falling.
For Sri Lanka, Asitha Fernando and captain Dhananjaya de Silva picked up a wicket each, helping to keep Bangladesh in check during the morning session.
The two unbeaten batters at the crease will look to rebuild the innings in the post-lunch session as Bangladesh aim to post a strong first-innings total.
