In the fourth match of the ongoing youth ODI series, the visiting Bangladesh Under-19 team thrashed Sri Lanka Under-19 by a commanding 146 runs at the CCC Grounds in Colombo today.
Batting first, Bangladesh U19 posted a massive 336 for 8 in their allotted 50 overs. The highlight of their innings was a brilliant century from Shawod Abrar, who hammered 113 runs to anchor the innings. For Sri Lanka, Rasith Nimsara picked up 3 wickets, though he was expensive, conceding 96 runs.
In reply, Sri Lanka U19 crumbled under pressure, getting bowled out for just 190 runs in 38.4 overs. Wimath Dinsara was the only significant contributor with the bat, scoring 66 runs.
With the ball, Al Fahad starred for Bangladesh, grabbing 3 wickets for 41 runs, breaking the Sri Lankan middle order and closing the door on any comeback hopes.
