England-India Fourth Test Ends in Draw Despite Batting Fireworks

The fourth Test match of the five-match World Test Championship series between India and England ended in a draw after five days of high-scoring cricket.

After winning the toss, England elected to bowl first, inviting India to bat. India posted a total of 358 in their first innings, with notable contributions from Yashasvi Jaiswal (58), Sai Sudharsan (61), and Rishabh Pant (54).
England captain Ben Stokes led the bowling attack with a five-wicket haul, while Jofra Archer took 3 wickets.

In response, England delivered a dominant batting performance, amassing a massive total of 669 runs.
Joe Root scored a commanding 150, Ben Stokes added 141, with Ben Duckett (94) and Zak Crawley (84) also contributing significantly.

India’s Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 4 wickets.

India began their second innings with purpose and ended day five on 425 for 4, with centuries from Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, and Ravindra Jadeja ensuring a strong comeback.

With no result in this match, England currently leads the series 2-1 heading into the final Test.
