Imesha Dulani produced a sensational unbeaten century to guide Sri Lanka Women to a six-wicket victory over Pakistan Women in the opening T20I of the three-match series in Dambulla.
Batting first, Pakistan Women posted a competitive 176/7 from their 20 overs.
Shawaal Zulfiqar top-scored with 63, while captain Muneeba Ali added 42.
For Sri Lanka, Kavisha Dilhari was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets, while Kavya Kavindi, Sugandika Kumari, and Chamudi Praboda claimed one wicket each.
Chasing 177 for victory, Sri Lanka Women reached the target with four wickets in hand by the end of the 19th over.
The star of the match was Imesha Dulani, who struck a magnificent 101 off 64 balls* to register her maiden international century.
The landmark innings also made history, as Dulani became only the second Sri Lankan woman, after Chamari Athapaththu, to score a century in Women’s T20 International cricket.
Captain Chamari Athapaththu provided valuable support with 39, as Sri Lanka secured a winning start to the T20I series.
