New Zealand Seal 9-Wicket Victory in Second Test Against West Indies

New Zealand clinched a dominant nine-wicket win over the West Indies in the second Test of the three-match series played as part of the World Test Championship.

Batting first, the West Indies scored 205 runs in their first innings, with Shai Hope making 47 and John Campbell adding 44. Blair Tickner impressed for New Zealand with 4 wickets, while Michael Rae chipped in with 3.

New Zealand replied strongly, posting 278 runs before declaring with nine wickets down. Mitchell Hay top-scored with 61 and Devon Conway added 60. For the West Indies, Anderson Phillips took 3 wickets and Kemar Roach took 2.

In their second innings, the West Indies managed only 128 runs. Kavem Hodge contributed 35 and Justin Greaves made 25. Jacob Duffy starred with the ball, claiming 5 wickets, while Michael Rae added 3 more.

Chasing only 56 to win, New Zealand reached the target comfortably in just 10 overs, losing only one wicket in the process.

With this victory, New Zealand lead the three-match series 1–0. Jacob Duffy was named Player of the Match.
