The grand final of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) will take place tonight in Ahmedabad, featuring an exciting showdown between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Both teams finished at the top of the points table at the end of the group stage, with RCB and Punjab Kings securing the top two positions. In the first qualifier, RCB defeated Punjab Kings by 8 wickets, securing a direct spot in the final.

Punjab Kings later earned their place in the final by defeating Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier, having earlier advanced by overcoming Gujarat Titans in the eliminator. This marks Punjab Kings’ second-ever appearance in an IPL final, with their first being in 2014, which they lost.

Meanwhile, RCB is making their fourth IPL final appearance, having previously reached the final in 2009, 2011, and 2016, but falling short on each occasion.

As both teams have never won an IPL title, tonight’s clash will see a new champion crowned, making it a historic moment for either franchise. Fans across the globe await a thrilling end to this year’s tournament.
