The Sri Lanka ‘A’ cricket team departed the island yesterday for their tour of Australia. Lahiru Udara will lead the One Day squad, while Pasindu Sooriyabandara will captain the four-day squad.

Before leaving, the players took part in religious observances and posed for a group photograph at Sri Lanka Cricket headquarters.

The tour is scheduled to begin on July 4 and conclude on July 23. All matches will be played in Darwin, Australia. The series includes three One Day matches.

The One Day squad comprises 15 players, including several who have previously represented the national team.
