The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to remove Hashan Tillakaratne from his role as head coach of the Bangladesh Women’s Cricket Team.

In his place, the board has appointed experienced local coach Sarwar Imran.

Sarwar Imran has a long history with Bangladesh cricket, having served as the head coach when the team earned Test status in 2000.

His appointment marks a shift towards local leadership for the women’s team.
