The third One Day International (ODI) between Sri Lanka and New Zealand is scheduled to take place today at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
In the three-match ODI series, Sri Lanka won the first match under the Duckworth-Lewis method by 45 runs. They went on to claim victory in the second match by three wickets. As a result, Sri Lanka secured the series win with one game remaining, marking their first ODI series victory against New Zealand in 12 years.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka Cricket announced yesterday that Nuwanidu Fernando, Lahiru Udara, and Eshan Malinga have been called up to the squad for the third ODI. This decision comes as Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamindu Mendis, and Asitha Fernando have been rested to prepare for the Test series against South Africa, starting on the 27th of this month in South Africa.
The third ODI between Sri Lanka and New Zealand is set to begin today at 2:30 PM.
