The Women’s Cricket World Cup continues today as Sri Lanka take on New Zealand at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
The match will begin at 3:00 PM, and spectators can enjoy the action free of charge.
This will be Sri Lanka’s fourth match in the ongoing World Cup campaign.
In their previous outings, Sri Lanka suffered a defeat against India, had their match against Australia washed out due to rain, and lost to England by 89 runs.
New Zealand, their opponent today, have played three matches, managing to win one — that victory coming against Pakistan.
Historically, Sri Lanka and New Zealand have faced each other 16 times in Women’s One Day Internationals.
Out of those, New Zealand have won 13, Sri Lanka have won 2, and one match ended without a result.
Interestingly, both of Sri Lanka’s victories against New Zealand came at the Galle International Cricket Stadium, setting the stage for a thrilling contest today in Colombo.
