The United Arab Emirates (UAE) created history by securing a 7-wicket win in the third T20 match against Bangladesh, thereby drawing the T20I series 1-1.
The third and final game was played yesterday in Sharjah, where Bangladesh, batting first, posted 162/9 in their 20 overs. Jaker Ali top-scored with 41 runs, while Tanzid Hasan added 40. For the UAE, Haider Ali was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 3 wickets for just 7 runs.
In response, the UAE chased down the target in 19.1 overs, finishing at 166/3. Alishan Sharafu led the charge with an unbeaten 68, while Asif Khan contributed a steady 41 not out.
This victory marks a historic first for the UAE — their first-ever T20I series win against a full-member nation. Prior to this, their only series win came against Ireland in 2021.
