The second day of the first Test between Sri Lanka and Australia saw opener Usman Khawaja achieve a remarkable milestone by scoring his maiden Test double century.

Australia is currently in a commanding position, having surpassed the 450-run mark with seven wickets still in hand. Earlier in the day, Steve Smith was dismissed for 141 runs by Sri Lankan spinner Jeffrey Vandersay.

At the crease now are Usman Khawaja and Josh Inglis, continuing to build on Australia’s strong first-innings total.
