Defending champions Argentina booked their place in the FIFA World Cup final after a dramatic 2-1 victory over England, setting up a blockbuster title clash against Spain.
The second semi-final of the tournament was played in Atlanta, USA, where England took the lead in the 55th minute through Anthony Gordon.
Argentina continued to push for an equaliser and were rewarded in the 85th minute when Enzo Fernández found the back of the net to level the scores.
With just minutes remaining, Lautaro Martínez produced the decisive moment, scoring the winning goal to complete a stunning comeback and seal a 2-1 victory for La Albiceleste.
The win sends Argentina into the FIFA World Cup final for the seventh time in their history. It is also the second consecutive World Cup final appearance for the reigning champions, who lifted the trophy at the previous edition.
The FIFA World Cup final will see Spain take on Argentina on July 19, with both football giants battling for the sport’s biggest prize.
