The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka, Major General (Retd.) Faheem Ul Aziz, met with Sri Lanka’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunil Kumara Gamagedara, yesterday (June 12) at the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral sports cooperation, with particular attention on promoting games such as squash and hockey. The Pakistani envoy proposed initiating further dialogue to identify suitable sports for collaboration between the two countries.
Both parties also discussed expanding cooperation between the youth communities of Sri Lanka and Pakistan, highlighting the importance of cultural and athletic exchanges to strengthen regional ties.
