The Sri Lankan Masters Athletics Team is set to depart the island tomorrow to take part in the 23rd Asian Masters Athletics Championships, which will be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, India.
Sri Lanka will be represented by a 225-member contingent, including 129 male athletes and 96 female athletes, competing across 11 age categories ranging from 35 to 90 years.
The championship, which begins on November 5, will run for five days, bringing together over 3,300 athletes from 22 Asian nations.
The Sri Lankan team aims to deliver strong performances and bring glory to the nation at this prestigious continental event.
