At the Under-18 Asian Youth Athletics Championships held today (18th), Tharushi Abhisheka secured a gold medal for Sri Lanka.
She triumphed in the women’s 800 meters event, finishing the race with a time of 2:14.86.
Meanwhile, in the men’s 800 meters event, Sri Lanka’s Shavindu Avishka won the silver medal, completing his race with a time of 1:53.41.
