Sri Lanka’s Under-19 women’s team continued their impressive run, clinching the third T20 against touring Australia with a six-wicket win at the Dambulla International Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, Australia managed just 100 runs for 6 wickets in 16 overs. Emily Powell top-scored with 32 runs, while Sri Lanka’s bowlers kept things tight. Aseni Thalagune and Limansa Thilakaratne led the attack with two wickets apiece.
In reply, Sri Lanka reached the target in 15.1 overs, finishing at 101 for 4. Sanjana Kavindi anchored the chase with 36 runs, well supported by Vimoksha Balasuriya’s 25, as the home side wrapped up their third straight victory in the series.
