India have wrapped up the five-match T20 International series against New Zealand, taking an unassailable 3–0 lead after winning the third match by eight wickets yesterday.

Batting first, New Zealand were restricted to a modest total of 153 runs. Glenn Phillips top-scored with 48, while Mark Chapman contributed 32.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah was outstanding with the ball, claiming three wickets, while Ravi Bishnoi and Hardik Pandya picked up two wickets each.

In reply, the Indian batting lineup made light work of the chase, reaching 155 for 2 in just 10 overs to seal a comfortable victory.

Young opener Abhishek Sharma played a blistering innings, bringing up his half-century off just 14 balls — the second-fastest T20I fifty by an Indian batter. He remained unbeaten on 68 off 20 balls, while captain Suryakumar Yadav supported him with an unbeaten 57 off 26 deliveries.

A key highlight of the chase was India scoring 94 runs inside the first six overs of the powerplay, despite losing two wickets.

With this emphatic win, India secured the T20I series 3–0, even with two matches still remaining.

Jasprit Bumrah was named Player of the Match for his brilliant three-wicket haul.
