Pakistan have decided not to take part in their scheduled match against India in the ICC T20 World Cup.
According to a statement released through the official X (Twitter) account of the Pakistani government, approval has been granted for the Pakistan national team to travel to Sri Lanka for the tournament.
However, the same statement confirmed that the Pakistan team has chosen not to participate in the match against India, which is set to be played on February 15.
The decision is expected to have a major impact on the tournament schedule, as India–Pakistan encounters are traditionally among the most highly anticipated fixtures in world cricket.
