Veteran international cricket commentator Roshan Abeysinghe has lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department Sri Lanka regarding a misleading social media post related to cricket that has recently been circulating online.
According to reports, the complaint concerns a Facebook post containing false information that has been spreading across social media platforms.
Abeysinghe stated that an individual and a group have been publishing fabricated and defamatory posts, which have damaged his reputation.
He further said that legal action has been initiated following advice from the Cyber Crime Unit, and the matter has now been officially reported to the CID for investigation.
