Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has officially announced the appointment of a new coaching duo for the national team, adding fresh expertise to the setup.
Ryan van Niekerk has been appointed as the Fast Bowling Coach, while Jordan Gregory will take on the dual role of Spin Bowling and Fielding Coach.
Van Niekerk brings valuable international experience, having served as the interim head coach and fast bowling coach of the Netherlands national team from 2023 to 2026. He will now work not only with the Sri Lanka men’s national side but also across other national-level teams. His appointment is set to run for two years starting from April 15, 2026.
Meanwhile, Jordan Gregory, who previously worked as a fielding consultant with the Netherlands team, has been entrusted with enhancing Sri Lanka’s spin department and fielding standards. In addition to the national team, he will also contribute to other Sri Lanka squads and the National High Performance Centre. His contract will also be effective for two years from April 15, 2026.
With these new additions, Sri Lanka Cricket aims to strengthen key areas and build a more competitive unit across all formats.
