Sri Lankan javelin thrower Rumesh Tharanga has achieved a historic milestone by climbing into the Top 5 of the Men’s Javelin Throw World Rankings.
Tharanga currently occupies 5th place in the world, earning an impressive Average Performance Score of 1,287 and cementing his place among the sport’s elite athletes.
The achievement comes on the back of his outstanding performance at the Rabat Diamond League in Morocco on June 1, where he produced a remarkable throw of 85.97 metres to secure the silver medal against a world-class field.
