Badureliya were crowned champions of the Inter-Club Women’s One-Day Cricket Tournament, defeating Panadura in the final at the Colts Cricket Ground in Colombo.
Batting first, Badureliya posted a competitive 202/7 in their 50 overs, with Sumudu Nisansala leading the way with a well-made 56 runs. Rashmi Nethranjali added 30.
For Panadura, Piyumi Wathsala was the pick of the bowlers, claiming an impressive four wickets.
However, Panadura’s chase never got going as they were bowled out for 105 in 35.4 overs. Rashmi Sewwandi top-scored with 48.
Badureliya’s bowlers produced a dominant display, with Shehara Induwari taking a sensational six-wicket haul.
Badureliya ultimately sealed the title with a 97-run victory, completing a memorable campaign.
