Bangladesh has officially announced its squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, bringing in five changes from the previous lineup.
Following the retirement of veterans Mahmudullah Riyad and Mushfiqur Rahim from ODI cricket, the selectors have opted to refresh the squad with a mix of experience and new talent.
One of the most notable changes is the recall of Litton Das, who had been left out due to a recent dip in form. Alongside him, Mohammad Naim, Shamim Hossain, Tanvir Islam, and Hasan Mahmud have been included in the squad.
On the other hand, Soumya Sarkar, who is recovering from injury, and Nasum Ahmed have been left out of the final selection.
The ODI series against Sri Lanka is scheduled to be played on July 2nd, 5th, and 8th. The first two matches will take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, while the final game will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
With these changes, Bangladesh will look to usher in a new era in ODI cricket while facing a competitive Sri Lankan side on home soil.
