The Bloomfield team successfully secured the championship title in the Inter-Club League cricket tournament by defeating the NCC team in the final match. The match took place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Batting first, Bloomfield scored an impressive 508 runs in their first innings, with Ron Chandragupta leading the charge with a remarkable 237 runs.
In response, NCC managed to score 312 runs in their first innings.
In their second innings, Bloomfield declared with 242 runs for the loss of 4 wickets, bringing the match to a conclusion without a result. As Bloomfield won the first innings, they were crowned champions of the tournament.
