West Indies Dominate Scotland with 35-Run Victory in T20 World Cup Clash

The second match of the T20 World Cup took place at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, where the West Indies defeated Scotland by 35 runs with an all-round commanding performance.

Batting first, the West Indies posted 182/5 in 20 overs.

Shimron Hetmyer stole the spotlight, smashing 64 off 36 balls, recording the fastest T20 World Cup half-century by a West Indian batter.

He received solid support from Brandon King (35), Sherfane Rutherford (26), and Rovman Powell (24).

For Scotland, Brad Currie picked up 2 wickets.

Chasing 183, Scotland were bowled out for 147 runs.

West Indies pacer Romario Shepherd delivered a sensational spell, claiming 5 wickets for 20 runs, including a hat-trick. Jason Holder provided strong backup with 3 wickets.

For Scotland, captain Richie Berrington scored 42, while Tom Bruce added 35, but their efforts were not enough.

With this win, the West Indies opened their T20 World Cup campaign in style, winning by 35 runs.
