Sri Lanka and India played out a draw in the second Test at the SSC Ground in Colombo, allowing India to secure a 1-0 series victory.
Sri Lanka resumed the final day on 229/6 in their second innings, with Sonal Dinusha and Keshara Nuwanth at the crease. Nuwanth made a valuable 46, while Dinusha produced another remarkable innings, scoring his third Test century.
Dinusha became just the eighth Sri Lankan batter to score centuries in both innings of a Test match. He also became the first batter since Brian Lara in 2001 to score centuries in both innings of a Test at the SSC Ground.
His latest century also gave him three centuries in the two-Test series, making him only the third Sri Lankan to score three centuries in a two-Test series, after Aravinda de Silva and Kumar Sangakkara.
India had declared their first innings on 503/9, while Sri Lanka were bowled out for 290, conceding a 213-run first-innings deficit.
Sri Lanka fought back strongly in their second innings, finishing on 429/9 when the match ended, securing a hard-fought draw.
