Sri Lanka produced a dominant performance to defeat the Maldives 107-65 in their opening-round clash of the FIBA Asia Cup 2029 Pre-Qualifying Tournament.
The tournament is being held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with Sri Lanka competing in Group B.
Sri Lanka controlled the game from the opening tip, taking a commanding 60-32 lead at halftime.
The Sri Lankan side continued their dominance after the break, adding another 47 points in the second half, while restricting the Maldives to just 33 points.
Sri Lanka eventually sealed a convincing 42-point victory, winning 107-65.
Sri Lanka’s next Group B game is against Palestine today.
