The Sri Lanka A Cricket Team wrapped up the ODI series with a game to spare, defeating the New Zealand A Cricket Team by 44 runs via the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern method in the second ODI at Suriyawewa International Cricket Stadium.

After winning the toss, Sri Lanka A opted to bat first and posted a massive 368/9 in their 50 overs.

Opener Lasith Croospulle starred with a century, smashing 103 off 76 balls, including 6 sixes and 13 fours. Skipper Sahan Arachchige added a fluent 74 off 68 balls, while Sonal Dinusha chipped in with a brilliant 93 off 77 deliveries.

For New Zealand A, Tim Pringle claimed 3 wickets for 58, while Adithya Ashok picked up 2 for 60.

Rain interruptions meant New Zealand A were set a revised target of 203 in 28 overs under the DLS method. Despite a fighting effort, they managed only 158/3 in their allotted overs.

Curtis Heaphy remained unbeaten on 53, while Dale Phillips contributed 34.

Sri Lanka A bowlers shared the wickets, with Dilshan Madushanka, Milan Rathnayake, and Ravindu Fernando picking up one wicket each.

With this win, Sri Lanka A take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, sealing the series even before the final game.
