Sri Lankan umpire Michelle Pereira has been appointed to officiate the Women’s Cricket World Cup Final between India and South Africa, marking a historic milestone in her career.
This will be the first time Michelle serves as an on-field umpire in a World Cup final — a proud achievement not only for her but also for Sri Lankan cricket.
Previously, she officiated the semi-final of the Women’s T20 World Cup held in Dubai last year, but missed out on being part of the grand final lineup.
Now, she gets her well-deserved opportunity on the biggest stage, representing Sri Lanka at the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Final.
