Sri Lanka secured victory in the Men’s division match of the Asian Hockey Championship held yesterday in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The match between Sri Lanka and Indonesia was played under Group “B.” Indonesia scored the first goal, but before the end of the first half, Sri Lanka managed to equalize.
Thus, the first half ended with the scores level at 1-1. In the second half, Sri Lanka scored another goal to take the lead.
The match concluded with Sri Lanka winning by 2 goals to 1. Nalanta de Silva of Sri Lanka was named the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.
