In a thrilling day match of IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 25 runs yesterday.
Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Delhi Capitals posted 183/6 on the board. The star of the innings was KL Rahul, who played a stellar knock of 77 runs, registering his first half-century of the season. He was well supported by Abhishek Porel, who added 33 runs.
In CSK’s bowling effort, Khalil Ahmed picked up 2 wickets, while Matheesha Pathirana, Noor Ahmad, and Ravindra Jadeja claimed one wicket apiece.
In reply, Chennai Super Kings managed only 158/5 in their 20 overs. Vijay Shankar remained unbeaten on 69, while MS Dhoni contributed a fighting 30 not out, but it wasn’t enough to chase down the target.
DC’s bowling unit kept things tight, with Vipraj Nigam taking 2 wickets , Mitchell Starc, Mukesh Kumar, and Kuldeep Yadav picking up one each.
With this solid win, Delhi Capitals secured a 25-run victory, boosting their momentum in the ongoing IPL 2025 season.
