The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 trophy was unveiled today at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo as part of its tour across Sri Lanka. The trophy will be on display in the country for four days before the tournament begins.
The Women’s World Cup will take place from September 30 to November 3, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. At today’s ceremony, Sri Lanka Women’s team captain Chamari Athapaththu was joined by teammates Harshitha Madavi and Nilshi de Silva.
Sri Lanka Test skipper Dhananjaya de Silva, former national captain Dinesh Chandimal, and all-rounder Vishwa Fernando were also in attendance.
The trophy tour aims to build excitement among fans ahead of the global event, where the world’s best women cricketers will battle for glory.
