Sri Lanka’s U19 Women’s team claimed their second straight victory in the five-match T20 series, defeating Australia by 29 runs at the Dambulla International Stadium yesterday.

Batting first, Sri Lanka posted 138 runs in 20 overs, with Rashmi Nethranjali and Sanjana Kavindi top-scoring with 24 apiece. In reply, Australia could only reach 109 for nine, as Eva Drulee picked up three wickets while Asheni Thalagune and Shashini Gimhani shared two each.

For Australia, Shiloh Julian and Samara Dulvin fought hard with 22 runs each, but the visitors fell well short of the target.

Sri Lanka now lead the series 2–0, with three matches still to play.
