Pakistan sealed their spot in the Asia Cup 2025 final with a hard-fought 11-run victory over Bangladesh in the Super Four clash played yesterday.
Winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to field first. Pakistan, batting first, managed 135 for 8 in 20 overs. Mohammad Haris top-scored with 31 runs, while Mohammad Nawaz added 25. For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed claimed 3 wickets, while Mehidy Hasan and Rishad Hossain picked up 2 wickets each.
In reply, Bangladesh faltered under pressure, finishing on 124 for 9. Shamim Hossain fought hard with 30 runs, but Pakistan’s bowlers held their nerve. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf both took 3 wickets apiece, while Saim Ayub chipped in with 2 wickets.
With this victory, Pakistan advanced to the grand final, where they will face India on Sunday in a highly anticipated clash.
Meanwhile, the final Super Four fixture between India and Sri Lanka is scheduled to be played today at 8:00 PM Sri Lanka time.
