The Women’s ODI Cricket World Cup matches scheduled in Sri Lanka kick off today, with the opening clash between Pakistan and Bangladesh set to begin at 3 PM at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced that all matches played in the country will be open for fans to watch free of charge, with stadium gates opening at 1 PM.
The World Cup, jointly hosted by Sri Lanka and India, officially began on September 30 and will run until November 2.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka and India women’s teams, who featured in the tournament opener yesterday, arrived in Colombo last night on a special flight. Officials from Sri Lanka Cricket were present at Bandaranaike International Airport to welcome the teams.
