CR & FC Rugby clinched the 2026 Clifford Cup knockout rugby championship after defeating Havelock Sports Club 12–10 in a tightly contested final.
The thrilling encounter was played at the CR & FC Grounds.
The home side secured victory through four successful penalty kicks, which ultimately proved decisive in the closely fought match.
Havelocks mounted a strong challenge, scoring a try, a conversion and a penalty, but their efforts were not enough to overturn CR & FC’s narrow lead.
With this victory, CR & FC completed a remarkable season by securing both the league title and the Clifford Cup championship.
