The New Zealand secured an impressive eight-wicket victory over the touring South Africa in the third match of the five-match T20 series.

After winning the toss, New Zealand opted to field first and invited South Africa to bat. At the end of their 20 overs, South Africa managed to score 136 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

Chasing the modest target, New Zealand looked comfortable from the start and successfully reached the total with 22 balls to spare, losing just two wickets.

For South Africa, Nqaba Mokoena top-scored with 26 runs, while George Linde contributed 23 runs.

With the ball, New Zealand delivered a disciplined performance. Kyle Jamieson, Mitchell Santner and Ben Sears picked up two wickets each, while Lockie Ferguson, Cole McConchie and Jimmy Neesham claimed one wicket each.

In the chase, Tom Latham led the way with an unbeaten 63 runs, while Devon Conway added 39 runs.

South Africa’s two wickets in the New Zealand innings were shared by Keshav Maharaj and Lutho Sipamla.

With this victory, New Zealand now take a 2–1 lead in the five-match series.

The Player of the Match award went to Lockie Ferguson for his performance with the ball.
