The South Africa national cricket team have won the five-match T20 series against the New Zealand national cricket team by 3–2, after securing a 33-run victory in the final match.
After winning the toss, New Zealand chose to bowl first. Batting first, South Africa posted a strong total of 187 for 4 in their innings. In reply, New Zealand were restricted to 154 for 8, falling short of the target.
For South Africa, Connor Esterhuizen played a brilliant knock of 75 runs off 33 balls, while Rubin Hermann added 39 runs and Wiaan Mulder contributed 31 runs.
With the ball for New Zealand, Ben Sears picked up two wickets, while Zak Foulkes and Josh Clarkson took one wicket each.
Chasing the target, New Zealand saw quick contributions from Bevon Jacobs with 36 runs off 19 balls, while Tim Robinson scored 25, Dane Cleaver made 22, and Jimmy Neesham added 24 runs.
South Africa’s bowling attack was led by Gerald Coetzee, Wiaan Mulder and Ottneil Baartman, who each claimed two wickets, while Keshav Maharaj took one wicket.
With this win in the final match, the touring South African side sealed the series 3–2.
Connor Esterhuizen was named both Player of the Match and Player of the Series for his outstanding performances.
